Valour Place was built from the dedication of volunteers and thousands of hours have been donated to help our heroes and their families. Volunteers touch all areas of Valour Place from supporting our families, maintaining our house, assisting with fundraising events, and sustaining the organization as a whole.

Crucial volunteer need:

​

1) Volunteer Coordinator- We are looking for someone who has a few hours a week to reply to volunteering inquiries, create email blasts to share upcoming volunteer opportunities, and meet with potential volunteers. If you are a people person and enjoy being organized, please apply.

Other ongoing opportunities:

​

1)Walk committee member- Our signature fundraiser is Walk For Valour, and we need supporters to help plan this event. This year it will take place on September 11th. If you enjoy working with a team and planning events this might be a fit for you.​

​

2) Van Driver- Occasionally we have guests who require a ride to and from their appointments or treatments. We have a handicap van that need drivers.  Do you have a driver's license, enjoy driving, and are comfortable driving a larger vehicle please reach out.

​

3) Guest Assistant- Help work the front desk during busy times and/or when staff isn't onsite.

​

4) Events Volunteer- Work at Valour events supporting the success of the event.

​

5) Valour Ambassador- This is a public speaking role. Go to various events to talk about Valour Place and our mission.

​

6) House Maintenance Helper- We are always looking for people who have experience with maintenance and are willing and able to come to the house to help. Some tasks would include bottle returns, painting, picture hanging, light plumbing, and general house care.

​Upcoming one-day-only volunteer opportunities:

​

May 25- Summer set up, 10 am- 2 pm

We need volunteers to help set up the patio area, clean up the outside, clean out flower beds, and do some light repairs in the house.

​

July 1- Canada Day  Road Race route volunteers, time TBA, but early morning

We will need 25 volunteers to be along the route during the race.
